Draw small, shrink smaller in editing.
I was drawing my characters too big for the last 4 chapters and wondering why I didn’t have enough space for speech bubbles. Granted, I shrink everything and post production, chapter by chapter, however that’s a lot of time wasted when I can just solve the issue on paper.
My eyes hurt after a while of straining. What helps is using a magnifying glass to get down the base sketch before going over with pencil or pens.
Draw your characters from small, medium and large depending on what the panel or character is expressing. Small noticing for big changes!!
