I was going to do daily updates on my “no scroll” habit breaking, but I realized I was 34 with other shit to do. Honestly, I barely think about social media as much. I do love messaging my mutuals on IG and following their creative journeys.
What this all boils down to for me is getting back into reflective and creative writing. Upon rediscovering what wordpress site builder provides, I really enjoy shaping my websites and expand my series on my own platforms.
I pray more creatives form their own nooks in this digital realm and use social media as billboards. Fucks the likes and follows. Don’t let it be the validation to your craft and sense of self.
And on the topic of self…I barely take selfies anymore. Feels great to simply exist without a lingering thought of how I’m perceived.
