I worked on absolutely nothing creatively, but redid my book cover with a backup!

Totally honest post here. The other day I was scrolling on TikTok (baby, you and I are both conditioned) and all I saw was rage videos, people begging, AI live streams, a few sprinkles of art accounts that’s mostly complaints (which I get it), and more emotionally jarring videos. What the hell is happening to my fyp?! I’ve been aggressively hitting not interested to the point that I’ve given up on social media and whatever is underground, I’m going. I might have to carve out my own nook under the shadows of the internet. Here, most definitely.

Social media is a wasteland we are all roaming for heart shaped scraps to pick up and hope it would fill the void in our hearts or Acceptance, validation, community from digital avatars. And I wont say there isn’t any. I’ve been invited into quite a few that I later fell out of interest. I’m not sure if it’s due to the mid term elections that’s gotten everyone’s fyp pages all in nervous frenzy. Maybe it’s the reality of our times that we now see. Everything has been revealed to us within the last two years starting from that Kat Williams interview. It hasn’t been the same since Covid and it sure as hell has gotten worse after the great interview.

I can feel the wires of my neuropathways connecting as write this post. It’s been a while since I seriously sat down to write something.

Anyways.

So what’s next after social media? I know I don’t want to jump on another fucking boat to a new land with a driver I don’t fucking know, but the lizard man does! As of today, I’m 34. I have a family, a job, a life outside of social media. However since the dawn of myspace, I’ve been uploading fragments of my life. Sometimes way too much of it. I’m not getting rid of my socials because of my moots. But I do want to make more meaningful content towards my passions and document my progress of creating on my website.

Whether you stay feeding the beast is entirely up to you and I wont judge you if social media is your repose. What frightens me the most is AI stealing my art and making money on it. But that’s just me.
